Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is one of the largest Christian charitable organizations with over 18,000 staff volunteers worldwide. With a wide variety of training events, service opportunities and volunteer opportunities it is estimated that 4.25 million people have been involved with YWAM since it began in 1960!
Salary and Benefits:YWAM does not pay its staff. Yes, you read that right! Most of our volunteers meet their financial needs by partnering with friends and churches who support their ministry, while others hold an additional paying job for financial or ministry reasons. Cook DTS: We have an ongoing need for someone to shop, plan menus and feed us. Each fall we run a DTS and we have regular training events year ‘round. Learning makes us so hungry. If you have FoodSafe and would like to volunteer a few hours a week or serve full-time, we would love to talk to you! Contact us directly HERE!
DTS Team: If you’ve completed your DTS and have great references, we’d love to have you apply to be a part of our DTS team. Help us carry on the legacy!
Mobilization Team (Leader and team members): Do you love to rally people to a cause? We are looking for a rally-leader, someone who loves people, public speaking, travel and talking about what God is doing around the world in missions. YWAM Nexia is developing a team focused on mobilizing people into short- and long-term missions involvement. If you’ve done a DTS and you’d like to know more about this team please contact us.
International Outreach Coordinator: Are you interested in designing local and international vacations with a purpose? Have travel experience? Are you are good with logistics and good with people? We are looking for energetic and global-minded YWAMers to fill this position.
Alumni Coordinator: YWAM Alumni are like sand on the beach - they get everywhere. Doctors, accountants, social workers, students…every walk of life – if you’d like to fill up the sandbox, contact alumni and plan connecting events please let us know.
Journalist: Love to write? Want to be published? Get some bylines and enjoy our terrific events, see
behind the magic curtain (we don’t actually have one) by joining our growing team as a journalist!
Fundraiser: We are looking for someone with experience and success in fundraising and grant writing. If you love to ask for money and are concerned about missions please contact us for more information.
Registrar (for schools and outreach teams): Good with details? Lots of them and paperwork (mostly online). Like the chance to explain our exciting missions opportunities?
Book keeper/Accountant: At NEXIA we sing about our unsung heros. Infrastructure people are vital to the health of our organization so if you have this skill set and you would like to know more about this opportunity drop us a note.
Event Photographers: Hey, you don’t have to be full-time to be awesome! We’re looking for some photographers who can be on tap for our many events and activities. You must have your own gear and transport.
Children’s Programming for Conferences: Throughout the year at YWAM events we have kids with nothing to do! We are looking for someone who can coordinate kids programs for our Wee-YWAMers. If you have the aptitude and energy to serve kids and youth please consider volunteering!
Legal Advisors: Can you advise us when we need waivers and contracts? If you are an attorney or even a para-legal, and can give us free advice, we need you on our team!
Human Resources Advisor: In YWAM our greatest asset is our people, and we want to be sure to take good care of them. If you have HR training and experience to contribute please contact us for more information.
Intercessors: Prayers needed. Unless the Lord builds the house the labourers labour in vain. Please join us as we seek the Lord’s face and will.
Hospitality: Do you like hosting visitors and helping them feel welcome in a new place? Are you good at shopping, baking, and organizing events? If you have a background or interest in hospitality please consider getting some more information on this position from us.
Christian Counsellors: Are you a trained and registered counsellor? We are looking for professional Christian counsellors to join in supporting our staff, students and alumni.
Travel Agents: We are looking for someone who moves us. Literally. We need to get around with very little money and sometimes very little notice. If you have experience and an agent’s license, would you like to volunteer with us? We promise not to bore you.
