YWAM Nexia Member Care Consultation & Training - Banff, Alberta - June 5-10th, 2011
YWAM Nexia is hosting a Member Care Consultation and Training in Banff from June 5th to 10th, 2011. It begins with a 3-day Consultation to share what is being done in Canada in member care within YWAM and in other organizations, to assess member care needs at your ministry location, and to share ideas for sharing of resources and moving forward in member care in Canada. It will be followed by a 2-day Training to learn more in-depth concepts and tools for handling member care at your location. The medium will be teaching, interviewing, small group workgroups and discussions. You can choose to be part of just the Consultation or just the Training but we highly recommend that you attend both the Consultation and the Training. Register HERE

Special Guest Facilitator
We have invited Brenda Bosch, an international member care trainer, to facilitate the Consultation and Training. Brenda has been in full-time Christian ministry for 30 years, of which at least 22 years were spent in cross-cultural missions. 18 years of these were spent on Member Care – either looking after missionaries, teaching on Member Care, or both. Brenda has conducted a one-month Member Care Course in various countries and for various mission agencies, including YWAM.
Brenda will also share with us some of the results of a survey she did with 2,000+ missionaries for her doctoral thesis, which show some of the stressors missionaries face, care they would like, what would refresh them, and what topics they feel are vital for Member Care Providers.
We are looking forward to this time together to share our thoughts, ideas and resources.

The costs below are in Canadian dollars and include: registration, room & food.
Registration deadline is April 30. (There will be a fee of $30 for late registration so register early)
Accommodation will be at the Banff Tunnel Mountain Resort, a beautiful chalet located near the top of Tunnel Mountain overlooking the town of Banff. The Consultation and Training will be held at the Full Gospel Church - a 2km downhill walk from the chalet.
