YWAM Nexia DTS - Vancouver

YWAM Nexia’s DTS (Discipleship Training School-DTS) in Vancouver, BC, Canada, is a place to connect with God, other followers of Christ, and the world. Come, spend six months immersed in a life-changing community – learn, grow and give in ways that you may have only dreamed of before! Come and EXPERIENCE CHANGE THAT MATTERS!

YWAM’s DTS (Discipleship Training School) has been impacting lives and training youth for service for over 40 years! Coming from around the globe, DTS students, staff and guest lecturers study, work and play together, seeking to know God and to make Him known in every area of life.

FriendsThe first part of the YWAM Nexia DTS is a 12-week classroom phase. Qualified staff and teachers share from the Bible, their own experiences, and invite you to experience God in practical and personal ways. More than just information, the classroom phase of the DTS combines “hearing”, “seeing” and “doing” in order to maximize learning and to “connect the dots” between what you know and how you live.

Lectures, reading, small-group discussion, worship, prayer, creative-processing and application times, assignments, and one-on-one conversations with staff, keep classes interesting and accommodate a variety of learning styles.

Student ListeningA 12-week cross-cultural field assignment follows the classroom phase and provides an opportunity to take the gospel to the nations living out and practically giving away what you have learned. You get to see the transforming power of God’s love in the lives of many others around the world!

DTS is an intense six months - living in community, discovering God in new ways, doing things you have never done before - even leaving the safety and comfort of home, all in order to come face to face with the needs of a desperate world.

Keep up with all that is going on in the current school by following our weekly DTS UPDATES.

Meet The Leader - Randy Parizeau

Young RandyIt was 1984 and I was excited. I was about to start my DTS with a sense that God was going to use that time to set His course for my life. I was not disappointed. God radically changed my life during that DTS time, so much so, that since then I've staffed more than 15 DTS's. God used the DTS to transform my life and my desire is that he will do the same for you.

Parizeau FamilySo, that’s why I'm excited to tell you about the DTS that YWAM Nexia is now running in Vancouver, Canada! It is YWAM Nexia's desire to let God use us to pioneer new ministries especially among the areas of the world where the poorest of the poor - both spiritually and physically - live. DTS is a step towards that. I believe that a DTS will radically change your life, like it did mine, and through it, you will hear God's invitation to play your unique part in His global plan. (Randy - bottom right - with his family and his ultra cool dog - Mika)

Thanks for checking us out! If you can't find what you are looking for, please feel free to email me at dts@ywamnexia.org. I look forward to meeting you!
