Outreach Week 10 - It Is Finished!

Well, the time has officially come to say that the 2012 YWAM Nexia DTS is a WRAP!!!

After wrapping up our time in Bali, packing up and then enduring many hours of travel, we landed safe and sound in Vancouver, where it all began, on March 22nd. A bit tired, weary and dealing with jet lag, we quickly got used to our news "digs" at a local church and prepared for our final week of "debriefing" together.

Our debriefing week was awesome. It was SO encouraging to go back over our entire time in Thailand and Bali and "remember" ALL that God had done in and through our team and all of us as individuals. There were so many laughs, so many good memories but also many "markers" along the way, as we recognized God's hand on us the entire time - faithfully leading and guiding us in all things!

During one of the afternoon sessions, we opened our time up to the local community and had a fun time of "sharing" our trip with multimedia, testimonies, songs and good ol fashioned fun during that week as well. Again, it was great to be reminded yet again of all the amazing things God did in people's lives on outreach.

And then, at the end of the week, we had one last meal together as a team to celebrate our graduation. There were lots of pictures being taken, lots of hugs, and plenty of tears. We had "done it"…we had all survived, but much more than that - we all "thrived" under God's care. It was truly - AWESOME!!

As the time ticked on, it was very hard to come to the realization that in a few short hours, we would all start going our separate ways and the finality of it all would start sinking in. But it's been quite the journey and a fantastic ride. We are SO thankful to God for His faithfulness throughout our lecture phase and our outreach. Many thanks to all of you as well for standing with us and supporting us with your love and prayers - we appreciate it as well!!
