So you have just finished your DTS and are wondering where to go from here.

Are you still hungry for more? Are you desiring to experience more of God and community. Come and discover a place where you can intentionally grow and develop. Discover your part in God’s Kingdom. Internships are a way to learn what missions actually looks like on a daily basis while being mentored by long-term YWAM workers.

Definition of Internship
Any period of time during which a student or recent graduate acquires supervised practical experience in an occupation, profession, or pursuit.

Prerequisites
Successful completion of a DTS; a desire to continue to learn and develop in missionary service.

Goals and Objectives/Outcomes

As a result of participation in the YWAM Nexia staff internship individuals will have:

* Continued Spiritual growth and development
* Increased understanding of talents, calling, gifts and part in missions
* Increased awareness of the needs of unreached peoples in the 10/40 Window
* Increased skill in communicating God's plan for mission, the church's role in the great commission
* Developed skills in identified strength areas, as well as in public speaking
* Developed leadership abilities
* Greater understanding and appreciation for team work, cooperation and self-initiative

In order to achieve these goals, as full-time staff workers in YWAM Nexia, interns will be involved in the following activities:

* All YWAM Nexia community gatherings
* On-going instruction and mentoring two mornings/week (local and visiting staff)
* On-going learning - reading, assignments, presentations and discussion
* Practical service in planning, coordinating and leading various YWAM events – 50th celebration,
* Rendezvous (National Gathering), GO Conference, training seminars, and mobilization trips
* Travel and service alongside YWAM Nexia staff
* Perspectives on the World Christian Movement (extra costs)
* Bible study, worship and intercession
* Weekly peer coaching
* Community volunteering
* Serving 8-12 weeks in a nation with Unreached Peoples
* Other activities

Length of Internship

12 months (with possible extension)

Cost

$40.00 Registration Fee, plus $100 per month + living expenses; travel costs; books and any other educational resources.
